What are enzymes?

Enzymes drive biochemical reactions in all living organisms, acting as the body's workers, while vitamins and minerals serve as building blocks.

Enzymes are crucial for digestion and overall health, but their importance is often overlooked.

Naturally present in raw foods, enzymes help ripen and digest them.

However, modern food production removes these enzymes to ensure extended shelf life and appealing appearance. This removal is necessary for economic and practical reasons, such as in genetically engineered tomatoes that have reduced enzyme content to stay fresh longer.

Despite the necessity of altering our food supply, it raises the question: if we add back vitamins and minerals, why not also replace the enzymes? Supplemental enzymes remain effective in the stomach, contrary to some beliefs.

The truth is, life is busy.

It is impractical to make all your food from scratch and from fresh fruits and vegetables.

Living a modern-day life while allowing for the practical convenience of readily-available food PLUS adding enzymes can help relieve digestive and systemic symptoms such as bloating, IBS symptoms, fatigue, reflux, and widespread pain.
